Digital Camera Downer
Van Forbes.com:
NEW YORK - A rash of problems with a sensor has affected as many as 10 million digital cameras made by such industry leaders as Sony, Canon, Fujifilm, Konica Minolta and Nikon.
The flaw, according to the companies, though it's not always explicitly stated, is most likely with a sensor that displays the image on the LCD screen of the camera. The screens with the faulty sensor are either distorted or completely dark, essentially rendering the cameras useless.
